After Tragedy by Dana Goodman is a heart-breaking account of her journey
through the dark night of the soul as she endures the ravages of cancer that
took her first husband, her young son and her beloved mother-in-law in a short
period of time. In her despair, cancer
again knocked at her door - her second husband both diagnosed with cancer, at
the same time her son received a diagnosis of a deadly brain tumor. Emerging from this horrific tragedy, she
tells a story of hope as she stepped from darkness into light, being kept safe
by God’s ever-so-close presence. Her
story is one of hope beyond grief as she displays the goodness and sweetness of
the Lord through the times in the deepest and darkest valleys, being kept safe
in the cleft of the Rock (the Lord). Devastating and destructive as her journey
was and one that most could not imagine, Dana chooses “hope” and helps
others emerge from their darkness, whatever that may be, so that they too might
find light in this poignant read.
